Some year, I'll stop forgetting to update this blog! Rather than copy/paste everything here and try to wrangle the formatting, the info for our 2024 events is on carrd! 

Currently running:
  • The 5k, our annual AU event. Write a complete AU in no more than 5,000 words! A public event that runs via social media. Posts August 1-31
  • Dark & Cozy: a discord exclusive. Put a dark spin on a cozy trope. Runs through the end of July
  • To Spite You, Personally: a discord exclusive running this October & November
  • The All-Ships Ship Week 2024. A new public event that kicks off this October in the wilds of social media! (But you can get started now)

I'm also thrilled to say that I overhauled the discord server, and it is once again open to join. No more applications! Since the reopening, we've welcomed almost 200 people. Detailed server info and a link to our community rules are available on carrd (as well as a link to request the invite).

Affiliate event: Shore Leave! T'hy'la Reverse Bang

Shore Leave! A vacation-themed Kirk/Spock reverse bang

To celebrate the T'hy'la Bang passing its 10th anniversary, we're switching things up with a reverse bang! Artists will illustrate Kirk and Spock on shore leave. We’ll anonymously show that art to authors who will let us know which pieces inspire them! Through some space magic, we’ll pair authors and artists into teams. Authors will write a 5-10k fic based on their assigned art, and teams will post together at the end of the event.

As we've done since the T'hy'la launched, all Trek universes and all variations of Kirk/Spock are welcome.

This event is affiliated with ficwip but runs under its own server and social media. This year's round will be modded by me and Ahria!

Helloooo! With the flood of people moving to Dreamwidth, maybe I should actually post updates here. Here's a quick rundown of what we have going on right now across our series:

note: our discord is invite only and requires an application to join due to the rise of antis. we hate this too. I miss being able to welcome absolutely everyone.

We are thrilled to announce a new event series for the ship rinharu/harurin from Free!: The Night Pool. While it's part of #ficwip, TNP will run via its own social and serve as a hub for ship positivity. We're kicking off with four events:

Our 3rd annual 5k event is open for sign-ups!

The challenge: Write a standalone AU using no more than 5,000 words

The basics:
✨ open to all fandoms & ships (ofic too!)
✨ anything not strictly canon universe is welcome
✨ write in any language
✨ no content restrictions
✨ sign ups are open through the end of posting
✨ post your finished fic to the site(s) of your choice at any time in August
