From my long-fic's rewrite of Chapter I [Fandom: Tomb Raider]

Their silent admiration is interrupted by the familiar shrill voice of a newspaper delivery boy yelling out, "Extra, extra! The Red Hats Gazette are at it again with their new report!", then handing the newspaper to Lara, before running off. Just as Lara opens the newspaper, Alister snatches it off and looks at it.

"Gods, this shit again?!" he exclaims in irritation upon seeing the headline "THE THIEVES OF NETRALEK PORT'S REPEATED HUMILIATION OF ITS KING!", published by the aforementioned Red Hats Gazette. Beneath the headline and seated next to the text, which details the ways Lara and Alister have taken turns in humiliating Raphael, is an illustration of Raphael, depicted as a panicking anthropomorphic peacock, running away from two hyenas, obvious stand-ins for Alister and Lara, who are chasing and loudly barking at him. He clenches his hands, crumpling the newspaper and grits his teeth. "So he can fulfill every petty bullying tactic upon his easy targets, but if we dare to mock him, we'd get arrested at best, or possibly hanged at worst?!"

"No. But it's better to try to get away than just give up. And you're not done. I'm going to teach you how to fight ba-oww!" Jody leaped back as Charles sunk his teeth into her wrist. "Like that. Damn, Charles!"

"That's how you do it," he said.
