Summary: Alone for the holidays, a mysterious man shows up to turn Jack's luck around.
"I've never seen you before in my life." Billy said and plopped down on the park bench.
This Christmas Eve had been a disaster between the tracksuit Mafia and his now ex-fiancee, Jack was spent. He never thought he'd be alone for the holidays again not when Jack envisioned a Christmas morning with Eleanor and Kate in their home almost as if they were his little family. But instead secrets took it away.
He was so wrapped up Jack didn't even see the well dressed man who'd graced him with his presence. By the look on his face, he too was alone for the holidays.
"Maybe it's a good thing you haven't." Jack finally replied.
Billy furrowed a brow. "Why do you say that?"
"All I seem to carry is bad luck. Look at me, I don't have anywhere to go."
"Then I guess we have something in common."
He felt for the man, even though a stranger there was a sort of comfort that was brought with his presence that made him feel a bit less alone on Christmas Eve. Maybe it wasn't all lost after all.
"What's your story?" Jack asked.
Billy chuckled. "It's a long one and I don't even know your name."
"Jack."
"Billy."
Jack smiled something about the man gave him butterflies; heartbroken over Eleanor and now here he was feeling for Billy. Yearning for more of his company.
"What do you say we stop moping over whatever's got us down and enjoy some holiday cheer. You want to go skating?" Billy asked.
"I say, yes. Let's." Jack let Billy pull him off the bench as the two sauntered off towards Times Square.
The two laced up their skates before heading onto the ice, hand in and hand as Jack glided around with Billy. For a moment he'd forgot everything else that happened today, focusing just on Billy.
"Isn't this better than being down in the dumps?" Billy asked, gently cupping Jack's cheek, "Plus you are quite handsome."
"It is. Thank you, Billy, I needed this." Jack placed a hand on Billy's shoulder, "Handsome? You aren't too bad either."
Without another word Jack felt Billy's lips collide with his as they kissed passionately under the Christmas lights. Everything felt right in Jack's world being with Billy, and he didn't want their time together to end.
"I did too. Do you want to spend the holidays together, Jack?" Billy asked.
Jack couldn't believe his ears it was crazy how a bad day can turn around. Maybe it was fate that brought Billy to him on this cold Christmas Eve night, or the spirt of Santa Claus granting his wish not to be alone.
"I''d love to. Merry Christmas, Billy." Jack said and embraced Billy.
"Merry Christmas, Jack."
Note: I know it is October, please forgive me for the Christmas fill but I had to.
