This week's word is...
LEAF

How to play: Find the word in any WIP and comment with the sentence containing it. Just the one, ideally! The less context, the more hilarious & interesting it can be.

Rules:
- All fandoms, all ships, all writers welcome
- Give a head's up for disturbing/distressing content
- If you share a sentence, please read some left by other writers and drop at least one person a comment. (If you leave the first comment, thanks for starting us off, and we hope you'll pop back around later!)

A note about interacting: Writers supporting each other is important to me! Please interact in the comments.

Judge Tarhen slowly nods. "An interesting punishment, I see. Why did you want such an action?"

Considering the answer, Lara sighs, and, upon giving one more solemn look at her copy with a bowed head, simply states, "I just want the Doppelganger to live with the consequences of her actions." There's another part nagging at her — she doesn't just want Doppelganger to live with her actions. "And for her to potentially turn a new leaf."

"So be it. With that, this session in the Court of the Ten Judges is now adjourned."

I agree, it seems indeed as an interesting punishment :)

Well, Lara still declares Doppelganger guilty for all the war crimes. But rather than giving in to the public's outraged bloodlust in the form of executing Doppelganger, well:

Judge Tarhen hums, narrowing his six eyes. "What alternative are you offering for the warrior's punishment, miss Croft?"

"You see, Judge Tarhen, I'll be sentencing her to a rather unconvential challenge: she'll be placed under an extensive watch from me and the Neo-Revenants, unless she makes a legitimate effort on renouncing the connection she has to the disbanded Blood Moon Empire. If she does so, she'll be let go. If not…" Once she turns to the Doppelganger again, Lara showcases a noose in front of her eyes, before making a swift cutting motion of swiping her corrupt arm's clawed finger around her neck, implying that should her copy fail at the task, she will be hung, drawn and then decapitated to the cheering crowd. "Do you get what I'm saying, mister Tarhen?"
