Only once in a hundred years does the sky create two people with one soul, and release them into a pure, free flight.
We are lucky.
I love you.

Fate can be a funny thing, Lara has found out.
If one were to tell her where her post-Grand Bellum life would go, she'd gladly scoff that one, she'll still get involved in globe-trotting adventures, and two, she won't fall for someone else, especially after the betrayal at the hands of her former childhood crush Amanda Evert. She'd be more than glad to not let something like love get in the way of her adventurer career.
Yet here is Lara, reveling with her newfound devotion to her redhead clone with a kiss to the silver wedding band on Yulia's finger. It's not the first time she's done that, and it sure won't be the last.
To think that she'd find herself married to someone whom she once considered as her most formidable enemy.
"Dearest swallow," Yulia says with her genuine smile, one always reserved for her template, "I can't believe we'd get to this point."
"I have the same feeling, Yulia," Lara says. "I once dreaded marriage β always thought of it as a dead end. Have you always thought that it'd always be me?"
Yulia laughs heartily. "Indeed, it's always been you!"
Gods, hearing her clone's laugh in her usual haunting mezzo-soprano makes Lara laugh along. Their harmonized laughter is loud enough to be echoed, the laugh of two lovebirds just happy to be alive after the war, to live their lives to this moment. Thank the Gods the square of Ginshon Village is empty; if they were to be found out by its guards, the two would have to brace for the punishment due to their relationship.
When the two eventually stop their laugh, Yulia leans in for a kiss to Lara's scar on the bridge of her nose. "We are lucky, swallow."
She nods. "Why don't we head to the promised onsen then?"
"Gladly."
