ficwipIt's not quite ready yet, but I wanted to announce our upcoming sister community thecoffeeshop.
What this will be: This 18+ writers' community is an attempt to bridge the gap between open spaces like bluesky and private discord servers, which are not everyone's tea. It is not going to replace our discord, which remains our central hub, but will exist in tandem with it. Members will be able to post questions about writing, ask for help with AO3 or writing software, or search for a beta reader. Like everything we do, it will evolve based on use.
What this won't be: The Coffee Shop will not host events. It's a gathering space. It's possible there will be support posts for future ficwip events, though!
