From my ATLA Sci-Fi/Spaceship AU

“Me being a teenager takes some unpleasantness also to the extreme,” Ursa remarks almost with a pout.

Bato meets her eyes, amused. “My sympathies, however, that I can do nothing about. I can’t switch it off, regretfully. None of us was spared these pleasures, but I don’t envy you nonetheless.”

I love the bantery nature of this little bit of dialogue! Bato being sympathetic of Ursa's experiences, yet not envying her one bit. I think that sort of teenage angst is so universal. You capture that so well in these two lines.

And yes, he remembers being a teenager himself not so long ago :)
